Old vines

Palacio de Sada

This wine is the result of a careful selection of Grenache grapes produced at our estate from old vines. It displays the finest characteristics of this grape variety, particularly when made from old vines. Having benefited from an ageing period in oak barrels, this wine reveals the special aromatic intensity, elegance and complexity typically brought by our cool climate mountain vineyards.

Wine-making

After a temperature-controlled fermentation in concrete vats using indigenous yeasts, the wine is aged for a number of months in French and American oak barrels.

Vines

Old-vine Grenache grown in the cool climate conditions of the nearby Pyrenees mountains. The vines are located around the tiny village of Sada, in the north-east corner of Navarra.

Tasting notes

Deep-coloured tones with aromas of spices and toasty oak, yet maintaining the characteristic blackberry fruit characters, herbs and blue flower notes of the Sada Grenache. Pleasant on the palate from the beginning, with ripe and elegant tannins and a characteristic long and balanced finish.
